Absolute Bollox, It looks like complete shit in VR, does not even feel like true VR playing it, you could start by being honest that the game does not even look 1% close to how it looks in your recorded through the monitor video. All you snake oil peddlers do is waste peoples time and make them think there is something wrong with their setup when they don't get the game looking anywhere close to how it looks in these fake click bait videos. So guys before any of you waste your time going the rabbit hole, the game looks like absolute shit, aS DO ALL Luke Ross mods, they never feel truly "VR" dues to the way they are modded using AER, which is basically a cheap optical illusion! .... And for the record I am a 6 year VR veteran and my setup is a 4090 / I9 / I have Quest 3 / Index / Pico .... We are about 10 years away from VR looking like it does in these BS videos. Maybe when the RTX 8090 is released we will be close, I hope this saves people hours of wasting their time.

flatscreen to vr games are easily some of the best vr games. I still argue that (java)Minecraft VR is THE BEST VR game. You can either play seated or standing with roomscale. Full motion controls of everything. Combat and building are super satisfying in VR, and it even works with modded minecraft. That said, i'm super excited to give this game a chance. I've played a bunch of flatscreen games in vr with varying results of awesome.

The 3080ti doesn't quite cut it, I might have to revisit this after the 5080 comes out this year

Don't use a link cable. Use a prismXR Puppis S1. It streams games from your pc wirelessly at 2400 mbps. Literally no stuttering and full resolution. It's worth every penny.

Night City is a masterpiece. The city itself was amazing before the fixes even came out. It's one of the few open world cities that has a realistic sense of scale. Like the buildings actually feel HUGE. Even the buildings in games like GTA5 just don't feel like they are really skyscrapers, where Night City buildings actually seem to be massive and incredibly tall. And the city itself is so detailed and interesting you never want to fast travel.

Love Metacity, next update sounds awesome also.

Im not really a rhythm game person. The only rhthym games i played growing up was guitar hero world tour, rock band 2 and just dance at the arcade. Ever since ps premium users were able to download synth riders, I absolutely fell in love. I just played synth riders for the first time on my psvr2 only 5 days ago. I bought 7 mixtape add ons and theres 6 more i haven’t purchased but will soon. I even wanna try best saber now, but it will have to wait till i get over the synth riders fever because im absolutely addicted to this game right now! Lol

NONE OF THIS COMMENT MATTERS Its just my personal ramblings... I think it finally happened. In my 32 years of life, growing up with commercial internet and watching it grow from a nifty way to send data, and run calculations, to at best what would be 3rd GEN mobile games in today's standard. Now one of my favorite games in VR. I KNOW that if we continue as we are as a species socially, then in my grandson/daughter's lifetime, VR would be a dozen times better. That being said, HOLY SHIT I might actually use this merchant link for the advertised cable. I was actually looking at the meta store (thinking of getting the Quest 2 as my first VR set)m but yeah the PC link cable was $tupid.Expensive. So now after never buying an advertised product from anyone/company on UA-cam since its creation(Yeah that old) I think I will. Also, in my opinion I think what helps make Cyberpunk2077 such a good conversion to VR is that the whole game was designed to be played from the first person, and actually first person perspective. Im surprised we dont have faint outlines when wearing glasses, or if you remain still long enough in the right light, you can see your character's nose. or look down their body and see everything except their neck, like in real life. I wanted to know if you used hand controllers or M&K, or and XB controller, and just used the headset for the view? Cause that seems totally feasible honestly.

I agree. Games should just have VR as a monitor option. They DONT need to be reprogrammed for VR with floating hands, or even be first person. My fav vr experience was actually senua VR, where it was purely third person. That was still immersive AF.

Cyberpunk VR is not just a fan created mod, it's a crowdfunded product sold under the guise of "mod". If it makes the creator 10k+ a month, it's not just a fan creation, but a development contract. In this case fans are lucky to get something for their money and not just getting ripped off like the people that threw $50k a month towads SkyrimTogether at it's peak.

I just tried this with my 4070 Ti/14900K and unfortunately, it's just not grunty enough to make it worthwhile. Graphics quality was pretty average and it was quite jittery. I don't normally feel sick playing VR but I did with this after 1 minute. Will try again once I have a 4090.

I really enjoy it too, but it takes hours to make progress, especially when you stuck at some of the boss fights, I am stuck at the scorpion boss fight, just can't kill him. You also n Ed a bit of space to play it, so you don't smash into furniture

You don't actually need a steam copy. I have the game on GoG and it was as simple as dropping the files into the bin folder and running the realvr installation. When you want to run the game you need to launch via the exe though, I didn't try and run via the launcher because the launcher is completely broken and I can't even enable mods in it. You likely do need steam installed, because SteamVR takes over after you launch the game, but there are actually other options in the RealVr settings so maybe you don't need steam at all? Idk, I ran it via SteamVR and it worked perfectly first try

I love this game. It might be my favorite vr game and it kind of reminds me of Zelda Breath of the wild and Tears of the Kingdom. I recently bought the quest 3 and i had originally started Asgard's wrath 2 on my quest 2 but now on the quest 3 the graphics are better than ever before and they impressed me the first time i opened the game. Although i admit 60 bucks was a lot of money to spend on this game, I'd say if you have the money, it's really worth it.

i feel the need to ask, did you play the mod with the rendering mode in mono? i try every other rendering mode and it just looks horrid. Mono runs nice for me but the lack of 3d feels really lackluster.

Would you recommend this for a first playthrough of the game?

How do you aim in this mod? I tried it and love to just walk around night city but I am really struggeling in combat because when using the pistol or my beloved throwing knives I have to aim by precisely moving the crosshair by moving my head, which is really dificult. Is there a way to change that?
